Pratumnak Hill is the headland between South Pattaya and Jomtien, quieter than Walking Street and hillier than Central Pattaya. Riders come for Pattaya Viewpoint, Wat Phra Yai, Cozy Beach and condo stays on Phra Tamnak sois. The area rewards scooters because the distances are short but the gradients, blind corners and parking bays are awkward by car. It is a strong base if you want quick access to Bali Hai, Jomtien and the bay views without sleeping in the nightlife core.
Pratumnak roads are paved but steeper and tighter than the Pattaya beach grid. Kasetsin and Phra Tamnak sois have condo driveways, parked cars and blind bends. The Viewpoint road becomes a slow queue at sunset, while Thappraya Road handles fast traffic between Pattaya and Jomtien. A 125cc automatic is enough for one or two riders, but choose 150cc if you will climb daily with luggage or a passenger.
Pattaya Viewpoint has short-stay parking near the radio-station ridge, busiest at sunset. Wat Phra Yai has temple parking near the staircase and donation boxes. Cozy Beach has limited roadside and hotel-adjacent bays, so read private-property signs carefully. Phra Tamnak Soi 5 and 6 offer informal street parking but are not ideal for overnight storage unless your accommodation provides a bay.
There is no large fuel station on top of Pratumnak Hill. Refuel on Thappraya Road, South Pattaya Road or Sukhumvit before longer rides. If you are only doing Viewpoint, Big Buddha and Cozy Beach, a half tank is plenty, but fill before heading south to Na Jomtien or north to Naklua.
Thappraya Road peaks 8-10 AM and 4:30-7:30 PM. The Viewpoint road queues around sunset as vans and taxis stop for photos. Pratumnak condo sois move slowly after rain because shaded turns stay damp. The Bali Hai connector gets heavy before ferry departures and after Walking Street crowds start moving.

Fireworks, music festivals and New Year events around Bali Hai push cars up Pratumnak for alternative viewpoints.
Pratumnak needs low-speed control. Use engine braking on descents, avoid grabbing the front brake on damp concrete, and assume vans will stop suddenly around Pattaya Viewpoint. Watch for sand and leaves near Cozy Beach access roads and pedestrians around Wat Phra Yai. Carry an International Driving Permit because checkpoints operate on Thappraya and South Pattaya approaches.
